Corporate Board

The Homeward Bound Board of Directors provides governance for the organization. Governance can be broken down into three essential functions: oversight, supervision, and planning. The Board exercises oversight over all of Homeward Bound operations. Its supervision involves the hiring, monitoring and evaluation of the CEO. The board also plans for the future so that Homeward Bound can adapt to changing circumstances.

Homeward Bound has an involved and energetic Board. There are thirteen individuals who serve on it, with a diverse group of talents. Some professions include law, financial management, health care and construction. Four of the members are family members.

Greetings from the CEO

Over 38 years ago, the families and community members who gathered together to form Homeward Bound were dedicated to providing the very best support to individuals with disabilities. When Homeward Bound was founded residential support for individuals with severe disabilities did not exist and the dreams and ideas of these families and community members paved the way for our industry.

Today Homeward Bound is still a leader in quality and superior supportive care to children and adults with severe and profound disabilities. We remain closely connected to our roots of working with family members to provide the most caring and positive residential support possible. Over the years, so many families have told me when they visit their loved one in a Homeward Bound home, they feel it is home.

Homeward Bound remains intrinsically connected with community members and the individuals, businesses and foundations that support our work. All have helped carry the organization and we are grateful for their continuing support.

This website is a perfect example. It was created and donated through a community partnership and it conveys both the vision of the organization we hope to become and the reality of who we are now. Explore our site and let us know how we can best serve you. Thank you for your interest in Homeward Bound and we hope to hear from you soon!
