When we think about those who care, those who help others, those who contribute, volunteer time and resources we think of our many wonderful donors who care about Homeward Bound and those we serve with severe disabilities. On December 1st, Homeward Bound’s community partner, donor and friend; Greiner Construction was honored with The Jefferson Award at an event put on by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal.

The Jefferson Awards were founded in 1972 by Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, U.S. Senator Robert Taft Jr. and Sam Beard, founder and chairman of the National Development Council, to honor community service. The Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal recognizes 12 companies throughout the year for their philanthropic work. One of the 12 selected organizations will be honored at the national level.

Greiner Construction employees donate hundreds of hours of volunteer service to Homeward Bound each year by completing projects such as: siding homes, renovating bathrooms and building decks. Homeward Bound is thrilled that Greiner Construction has received this recognition from the community.
