THANK YOU to everyone who joined us on September 26th. We had beautiful weather for the event and a huge group made the event a wonderful success. Homeward Bound will report final fundraising and participation numbers soon. There is still time to donate!

About the event:

Made in the Shade is a non-competitive walk, run and roll event to raise funds for people with developmental disabilities.  Register, gather pledges, lace up your athletic shoes, tune up your bike, wheelchair or stroller and join us in September 2010 (date coming soon) at Thomas Beach on Lake Calhoun.  You'll receive a t-shirt, snacks and lunch. Check-in begins at 9:30 a.m. with “shotgun starts” at 10:15 and 10:30 a.m.  The walk will take place rain or shine-expect a great experience either way!

Made in the Shade helps provide funding for the programs and services of Homeward Bound along with six other metro area providers and programs for children and adults with disabilities.

Ask your friends, family, neighbors and co-workers to sponsor you as you help children and adults with disabilities.
