How Can I help Philanthropy is the community’s way of expressing its confidence and support. It is one of the ways for Homeward Bound to support children and adults with developmental disabilities in our communities. Whether it be a gift of time, an in-kind gift, a financial gift or a planned gift, all are vehicles by which you can support Homeward Bound in achieving our mission and commitment to individuals with developmental disabilities. Homeward Bound is a 501C 3 agency. Charitable gifts to support the organization are tax deductible to you, the donor as allowed by law. How can you help? The following is a brief description of the many ways you can become involved or contribute to Homeward Bound. For additional information contact the development office at (763) 525-3186 ext. 229. Financial contributions/Matching Gifts. A financial gift is always greatly appreciated. Your contribution does make a difference no matter what the size of the donation. You can contribute to Homeward Bound in several ways.
Capital Donations. Providing a quality of life is more then the specific services conducted by professional and dedicated staff. Quality also includes a well-kept sparkling home. Some of Homeward Bound’s capital needs: labor to complete projects, cement, doors, windows, siding, landscaping, carpet, kitchen cupboards, new furnaces, water heaters, air conditioning systems, etc. Planned giving. There are many ways that you can support Homeward Bound and its’ future through planned giving. Philanthropic support from gifts of stocks to wills/trusts. Estate planning will support Homeward Bound in generations to come. For more information please contact the development office at (763) 525-3186 ext. 229. Endowment. Assist Homeward Bound by investing in the future on behalf of the children and adults we serve. For them our endowment creates an opportunity to support a coordinated set of activities designed to assure the greatest benefit for the people who live at Homeward Bound. Honorariums/Memorials. Remember a loved one, honor someone’s birthday, anniversary or other special occasion with a special gift. A card will be sent on your behalf to the individual or family. Sponsorships/Special events. Homeward Bound has several events each year, including an annual golf fundraiser. There are a variety of sponsorship opportunities.
